Felix Clercx introduces Yellow Balau timber of excellent quality that has been certified by official certification bodies TUV Rheinland and SmartWood. Timber verified by SmartWood is recognized as coming from “well-managed” forests adhering to strict environmental and socioeconomic standards in accordance with the Principles and Criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). This means that buyers have the assurance that our Yellow Balau timber comes from a fully traceable origin. It’s a high priority for Felix Clercx to support sustainable forest management according to R.I.L principles and practices. R.I.L. stands for Reduced-Impact-Logging, creating benefits such as: reducing soil disturbed in roads, landings, and skid trails by almost 50% - better survival of residual trees - faster recovery and thus shorter cutting cycles - reducing wood waste by more than 60%.
